Dr. Jens-Uwe Peter is a research associate at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology at Brandenburg Medical School. His primary research interest lies in the pharmacotherapy of psychiatric disorders, with a special focus on the treatment of older patients. Dr. Peter studied biochemistry at the Humboldt University of Berlin and obtained his PhD at the Free University of Berlin, where he investigated the serotonin system. His research at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics and the Charité Berlin, Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, was dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders.
