Prof. Dr.José Luís Sousa holds a degree in Physiotherapy (ESTES Porto), a master’s degree in Adapted Physical Activity (FADEUP), in the field of cardiac rehabilitation, and a Doctorate in Public Health (University of Santiago de Compostela), in the field of exercise in ageing. He has 32 years of clinical practice at Santo António Hospital (Porto) and 30 years of teaching physiotherapy. Integrated researcher at Insight (Piaget Research Centre for Ecological Human Development). President of the Portuguese Physiotherapy Academic Centre of the Academic Network of Health Sciences. Author of several articles and book chapters in the field of physiotherapy and ageing.
