Dr Bożena Kowalczyk is a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Dr Kowalczyk holds a degree in physiotherapy. She obtained her Ph.D in Physical Culture Science from the University of Physical Education in Krakow, 2017. Dr Kowalczyk is an author of over 45 academic papers both in Poland and abroad, including journal articles, book chapters and monographs. Her teaching and research interests include geriatrics and gynaecology. She is particularly interested in the quality of life in elderly people and fall risk assessment.
